Notes

Hard bound souvenir programme for 'Don Juan' as shown at Sid Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Don Juan was the first film to feature sound effects using the new technology of 'Vitaphone' introduced by Warner Brothers. Programme includes details of the new technology of Vitaphone, comments on Vitaphone from a variety of experts and from the press, a cast list, press comments on the film, profiles of 'Vitaphone artists' and a brief history of Warner Brothers studio. height 239mm; breadth 163mm; depth 7mm good; complete. Red leather cover with marbled end papers. Red satin ribbon and staples hold pages in place.
