Name: Subsequence
Description: This gives information about what subsequence is being experienced on that trial
Data Type: Nominal
Labels: 1 = XXX; 2 = XYY; 3 = YXY; 4 = YYX; 5 = XXY; 6 = XYX; 7 = YXX; 8 = YYY (1-4 = Consistent; 5-8 = Inconsistent)
Missing Values: The first two trials in each block do not show information about sequences as there is no sequence information available here.

Description: This gives information about what response in being required on that trial (i.e. which circle flashes up)
Data Type: Nominal
Labels: 0 = Left; 1 = Right

Description: This gives information about what colour has been shown on that trial

Labels: 1 = Colour 1 (Predictive Consistent); 2 = Colour 2 (Predictive Consistent); 3 = Colour 3 (Predictive Consistent); 4 = Colour 4 (Predictive Consistent); 5 = Colour 1 (Predictive Inconsistent); 6 = Colour 2 (Predictive Inconsistent); 7 = Colour 3 (Predictive Inconsistent); 8 = Colour 4 (Predictive Inconsistent)

Name: RT & Error recorded data
Description: Records key press response of participant in msecs. Positive values indicate a correct response whereas a negative value records the RTs but for the opposite incorrect response. A -9 is shown when participants press neither of the response keys or the trial times out.

Labels: -9 = pressed other key than x or > / pressed no key

Description: Codes trials that have an error on that trial

Labels: 0 = No error; 1 = Error (opposite x / > repines); 9 = Error of omission or key press other than x / >

Description: Trials that should be excluded from the RT analysis (i.e. errors and trials following an error)
