Paper casing of anti-riot CS gas from the 1968 riots at the Democratic Convention, Chicago, loaned by Martin Bell; red and green cacti pieces from outside the Laver building, University of Exeter Campus. Hanaa was struck by the vibrant red of the band around the casing and the plant. The swastika is an ancient Mesopotamian symbol of the sun. (Nazis appropriated this ancient symbol and also reversed the direction of the arms.)en_GB
