The Kessock bridge was constructed in the late 1970s in Scotland. Immediately after the completion of the bridge it was observed to vibrate significantly even under low wind conditions. In order to investigate the reason for this vibration and also to have a better understanding on the response of the bridge under wind actions, a comprehensive wind tunnel testing programme was initiated. The present paper gives a detail description of the experimental set-up, the various tests and some preliminary result.
