The development of receiving dual band or multiband antennas has witnessed explosive growth driven by their usefulness in the satellite navigation systems in recent years. A low profile dual-band circularly polarized (CP) antenna working at BD-B3 (1268MHz) and GPS-L1 (1590MHz) frequencies is designed in this paper. Four rectangular swells are added around the antenna to tune the resonant frequency. Two patches are stacked longitu-dinally to realize good CP property and wide axial ratio bandwidth, while keeping the antenna low profile to meet the requirement of the satellite navigation systems. The antenna is designed and simulated, and the simulation results show that the proposed structure is an excellent candidate for compact dual band CP antennas.en_GB
