The aim of this thesis is to investigate surface waves supported on a variety of metallic metasurfaces at microwave frequencies. The goal is to characterise the propagation of these surface waves in the plane of the structure and in some cases study how their presence gives rise to features in the scattering parameters of radiation incident on the metasurface.en_GB
