This is the dataset that was used to produce the erratum for the published MNRAS paper: Bate, Tricco & Price (2004, MNRAS, 437, 77). It contains the output from the SPH simulation discussed in the Erratum, including dump files and the scripts used to generate the figures for the paper. This repository contains the dataset from the original smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) calculations for the Erratum (Bate, Tricco & Price 2016, MNRAS) which is associated with the paper Bate, Tricco & Price (2014, MNRAS, 437, 77). It includes dump files and all of the scripts for generating the figures that appear in the Erratum. The scripts are contained either in the BTP2014_Erratum.zip file or the BTP2014_Erratum_001_049.zip file. The former mainly contains the final (or intermediate) SPLASH figures (see below), plus the data files and scripts for making the other figures (line plots). Line plots use supermongo scripts. The latter contains SPLASH scripts for generating images from the SPH dump files (in a sub folder called Comparison). Output from the SPH calculations are contained in the files: BTP2014_Erratum_*.zip. The SPH dump files for the calculation begin at TEST001 and then are numbered sequentially. Not all dump files have been kept for the later part of the calculation. The SPH dump files are Fortran binary files, written in big endian format and generated by the sphNG code. They can be read, visualised, and manipulated using the free, publicly available SPLASH visualisation code (which reads sphNG dump files), written by Daniel Price, that can be downloaded from: http://users.monash.edu.au/~dprice/splash/
