dc.description.abstract | This article engages with the views of prominent leaders from the First Intifada
with the intention of evaluating if a Palestinian uprising is conceivable under existing
circumstances. It provides an insight into the past and present of Palestinian struggle
with a view to establishing a basis for contemporary struggle. In acknowledging the
fragmentation of Palestinian land and population, it argues that many of the features
that made popular struggle possible during the First Intifada are now clearly absent and
suggests a new praxis of resistance is c required. | en_GB |
