These data are a subset of the data generated from the experimental transmission study of Lyall et al. (2011) "Suppression of Avian Influenza Transmission in Genetically Modified Chickens", Science, 331 (6014), 223–226, doi:10.1126/science.1198020. Specifically, they relate to the data shown in Figure 2 of that paper, with the viral copy information and immunohistochemistry data removed. These data are kindly provided by Dr Laurence Tiley, University of Cambridge, and form the basis of the work published by McKinley et al. (2019), "Efficient Bayesian model choice for partially observed processes: with application to an experimental transmission study of an infectious disease", published in Bayesian Analysis.
