Book-length studies on internal displacement and law are rare, with just a handful having ever been published. To therefore have two such texts published in just two years is a real treat for legal scholars and goes some way towards remedying what Bríd Ní Ghráinne identifies as ‘a particular paucity of IDP literature’ (2022, p 4). This review provides a combined book review of these texts, namely Walter Kälin's 'Internal Displacement and the Law' (Oxford University Press 2023) and Bríd Ní Ghráinne's 'Internally Displaced Persons and International Refugee Law' (Oxford University Press 2022).
